POORE'S PICKS: Week Twelve

The Game of the week has the Saints traveling to Seattle in a battle between NFC leaders as Jim Poore is back with his weekly picks column against the spread.

There are a lot of meaningful games this weekend, with many having an impact on the playoffs. Let's get right to the picks.

DETROIT 6 Green Bay

The Lions better win this game after last week's embarrassment.
Lions 30-14

DALLAS 9 1/2 Oakland
That's right; the NFC East is still playing.
Cowboys 27-13

BALTIMORE 3 Pittsburgh
This is a big game in the AFC North.
Ravens 21-17

INDIANAPOLIS 4 1/2 Tennessee
The Colts badly need a win.
Colts 29-23

The Broncos will bounce back after last week's meltdown.
Broncos 23-17

CLEVELAND 7 Jacksonville
This is one of the few meaningless games this week.
Browns 20-10

CAROLINA 8 1/2 Tampa Bay
The Panthers could be a team nobody wants to play come playoff time.
Panthers 24-14

The Bears really need to win here.
Bears 26-21

PHILADELPHIA 3 1/2 Arizona
It's hard to believe, but it's true, Arizona is the second wild card in the NFC.
Cardinals 26-23

NEW YORK JETS  1 1/2 Miami

The season is pretty much over for whichever team loses here.
Dolphins 27-21

The Rams will keep this one close.
49ers 31-24

New England 7 1/2 HOUSTON
No problems here for the Patriots.
Patriots 34-14

SAN DIEGO 1 1/2 Cincinnati
The Chargers are suddenly in the playoff race.
Bengals 26-24

New York Giants 1 WASHINGTON
Not too much on the line here.
Redskins 24-21


SEATTLE 6 New Orleans
The number one seed in the NFC could be on the line here.
Seahawks 27-24


BUFFALO 3 1/2 Atlanta

This is the definition of a meaningless game.
Bills 29-23
