Bucs sign Ratliff

Tampa Bay filled out its roster by signing cornerback Keiwan Ratliff on Monday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have signed CB Keiwan Ratliff to the active roster and released WR Chas Gessner.

Bucsblitz.com reported the release of Gessner last week.

Ratliff originally entered the league as a second-round (49th overall) selection by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2004 NFL Draft, and has played in 51 career games with eight starts.

According to Scout.com NFL senior writer Adam Caplan, Ratliff has tried out with the Carolina Panthers, the Houston Texans, the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots, the New York Jets, and the Buccaneers this season.

In addition, the Buccaneers signed WR Brian Clark to the practice roster and released CB Darrell Hunter from the practice squad.
