The National Football League today announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers K Matt Bryant was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for December.
During the month of December, Bryant went 10-of-11 on field goal attempts while hitting a season long of 49 yards and converting all 12 PATs. This season, Bryant connected on 28 field goal attempts and registered 118 points, both career highs.
Bryants honor marks the sixth time in team history that a Buccaneer has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month. KR/PR Karl Williams (December 1996), K Martin Gramatica (November 1999, October 2000 and December 2002) and P Josh Bidwell (November 2005) all earned the honor.
