Bucs sign another QB

Tampa Bay has signed another QB, this time adding Steelers' backup Byron Leftwich, who is entering his seventh NFL season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have signed QB Byron Leftwich. Terms were not disclosed. Entering his seventh NFL season, Leftwich has appeared in 54 games with 46 starts. He has thrown for 9,624 yards in his career while completing 842 of 1,438 pass attempts with 54 touchdowns and 38 interceptions for a career passer rating of 80.3. Leftwich originally entered the NFL as a first-round selection (seventh overall) of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2003 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Jaguars (2003-06), one with the Atlanta Falcons (2007) and was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers' Super Bowl XLIII championship team in 2008.
