RB Earnest Graham: RB shows unselfishness vs. Cowboys by The SportsXchange of BucsBlitz.com, September 17, 2009 at 12:58pm ET
Earnest Graham Profile
Earnest Graham only carried the ball one time in Sunday's 34-21 loss to Dallas and seemed to have been passed over in coach Raheem Morris' 2-2-1 running back rotation. While Cadillac Williams was racking up 97 yards on 13 carries and Derrick Ward 61 yards on 12 rushes, Graham was basically invisible. But it turns out No. 34 scored big with Morris for his unselfishness, according to the SportsXchange.
"That was a product of Earnest Graham coming to me and telling me to keep those guys in because they're hot," Morris said in his Monday press briefing. "And like I told you guys last night, that's what this team has got to become. We've got to become this way across the board. If I could just copy that running back room and put it throughout my team and change the body types I would. Earnest Graham came to me and I said, 'It's your series.' And he said, 'No, put Caddy in. He's hot.'"
