The Bucs are concerned that wide receiver Antonio Bryant will be unable play at Buffalo Sunday. Bryant, who missed the entire preseason recovering from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, took a step back Thursday when he was unable to practice.
Bryant was limited in practice on Wednesday. NFL teams do not have to release the updated game status of players until Friday.
"It's not a real concern, I'm just disappointed for his sake," coach Raheem Morris said. "You want Antonio to play, of course, so it's obviously a disappointment. We've got guys on this team that have got to play, that have got to go in there. Obviously, we want Antonio to play for us, but if he's not there, the next guy has got to step up. That's what happens on every team. Everybody lost a starter this week, everybody loses people every week. You just deal."
Morris was asked if he anticipated Bryant playing Sunday.
"I'm not in the business of anticipation," Morris said. "I'm in the business of if you show up to work, we're going to play you."
Bryant, the team's franchise player, was held to two catches for 29 yards in the Bucs' 34-21 loss to Dallas Sunday,
